And to make matters worse, our male-led medical establishment just tells you to “wait it out” because “every woman goes through this and you’re not the only one experiencing these symptoms!” (My fav is “This too shall pass, dear. It may just take a couple of years for you to sort yourself out.)

I'm Andrea Gewirtz, a feisty 50+ woman like you who wears multiple hats - a devoted wife, a nurturing mom, a loyal friend, a caring sister, and a busy entrepreneur working as a certified functional nutrition coach.
And just like you, I'd been juggling too many responsibilities my whole life, often neglecting my own health and wellness.
When I hit menopause, my body hit a brick wall. All systems were a no-go and started to go berserk.
All my doctors and I could see was what what wasn't working.
My increasing weight was seen as I was not dieting enough.
My thyroid was bad, slowing down my metabolism.
My cholesterol was too high so obviously I had problems with my liver.
It never occurred to the doctors that I was a woman experiencing a radical hormonal reset. Finally, after my 50th birthday, my blood tests started to suggest menopause. I was deemed estrogen insufficient. At that point, my doctors shrugged their shoulders and deemed my symptoms as non issues because "oh, it's just menopause."
I grew tired of listening to “this is normal”, “you’re alright, it’s just in your head”, “here’s the medicine”. For the next 4 years, all I got to hear was this gaslighting and wait it out bull crap or take heavy medicines just to feel alright.
I knew there’d be a better way to deal with menopause clinically. There had to be a better, kinder, and gentler way to get to our “golden years”. So, I researched, analyzed, and experimented and created my very own THRIVE Roadmap to get through menopause easily.
Eventually, I created Wellbeing & Worth — a boutique coaching business aimed at empowering women over 40 to prioritize their holistic well-being through deep self-care and self-knowing to feel fabulous both inside and out.
